FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT InnoPen MICRONEEDLING
WHAT IS InnoPen?
InnoPen is the world’s most advanced and safe microneedling device perfected by the pioneer of derma-needling technology, Clinical Resolution Laboratory, Inc.
InnoPen is a precision tool with a unique, dual spring-loaded disposable needle cartridge (InnoTip)
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
It is a skin treatment procedure that involves an electric skin-needling device, InnoPen. The device contains very fine needles that uses an automated, vibrating stamp-like motion to cause micro injury to the skin. The gentle stimulation of fibroblast promotes natural induction of collagen and elastin without the stress of pain and lengthy down time associated with ablative treatments. Cell production creates new layers of elastin and collagen fiber and leads to improved blood flow in the skin. Micro-channels, resulting from the needles piercing through the skin layers aid in infusing therapeutic serums for greater penetration and enhancement of overall efficacy. It is the ideal choice for non-surgical and non-ablative treatment of various skin conditions.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
At the heart of the InnoPen, is its patented disposable needle cartridge called the InnoTip. The cartridge is built with an innovative double-protective tip system that is revolutionary. The InnoTip uses small micro needles that penetrate upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 1mm to create tiny needle wounds. This signals the body to respond by producing collagen and elastin fibers. As a result, the skin becomes fuller, thus reducing the appearance of scars, lines, and wrinkles.
IS IT SAFE?
InnoPen is the safest method of microneedling available today. It alleviates the risks inherent in all other automated microneedling devices that utilize single-wall open tip cartridges.
WHAT CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED OR IMPROVED WITH InnoPen MICRONEEDLING?
Some of the conditions that Microneedling is known to improve include: mild to moderate acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, skin tone & texture, pore refinement, topical absorption and hyPERpigmentation/hyPOpigmention.
WHO CAN RECEIVE InnoPen MICRONEEDLING?
InnoPen microneedling is for ALL skin types/tones.
WHO SHOULD NOT RECEIVE InnoPen MICRONEEDLING?
You should not receive this treatment if you have or had any of the following contraindications:
-Active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection or inflammation
-New scar tissue or wounds (Scars less than 6 months old)
-Anticoagulant medications or blood clotting problems
-Collagen vascular disease
-Excessive Sunburn and irritation
-Use of Accutane within the past 12 months
-Use of topical steroids in treatment area within the past 3 months
-Topical prescriptions or antibiotics
-Retinol, Retin-A or any topical Vitamin A Derivatives
-History of diabetes
-History of herpes simplex infections
-History of eczema, psoriasis & other chronic conditions
WHAT MAKES THE InnoPen MICRONEEDLING BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MICRONEEDLING METHOD?
The ability to control needle movement throughout the course of treatment eliminates potential risks associated with common disposable tips. These risks include:
-Uneven distribution of pressure
-Inaccurate penetration of depth control
WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Most people will notice redness and very mild swelling for a few hours. Skin will be noticeably smoother and more radiant within a week or two.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?
It begins with cleaning and topical numbing (if requested) of the skin. A collagen-stimulating product, Hyaluronic acid or Vitamin C serum is also used. The InnoPen is used to create tiny wounds in the skin. The speed and adjustability of the needles allows for more effective piercing and absorption of skin products. Vitamin-C serum or Hyaluronic acid are used after the procedure to hydrate, heal and protect the skin.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED AND HOW OFTEN CAN MICRONEEDLING BE DONE?
Microneedling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments, while scar reduction requires between 3 and 6. 4 to 6 weeks should pass between one treatment to the next, and the number of treatments needed varies person to person.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
Swelling and redness is normal immediately after the treatment. The treated area will appear similar to that of a moderate to severely sunburned skin. Minor pain and/or discomfort of elevated warmth and tightness can be experienced. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours. Fast recovery is normally observed within the first 24 hours after the treatment with only slight redness remaining the following day.
